Yay spray paint remnants!!
Tonight was tech for the heaviest prop show of the season. Needless to say I was not completely ready and felt like I was letting people down (especially after one of the directors talked so highly of me) I called Daddy and Veronica comforted me more after. I apologized to the director and he said everything was fine and that he's really happy with the work I've done so far. That helped a little too. What did not help was the three pages of notes I had for myself by the end of the run!!
During intermission, I was throwing away my trash and found a note on the floor next to me. I almost threw it away without opening it and I'm so glad I didn't!! It was a set of Bible verses written out and low and behold, one of my favorites!! James 1:1-2 and Philippians 4:6. I started crying as I was reading it over the trash can. I folded it up and now keep it in my phone cover. Talk about the hand of God!
One good thing that happened was the container of "ice cream" rigging worked! I'll have to take pictures still. Basically, the guy brings the girl vanilla ice cream and she sings about it but the director didn't want it to really be vanilla ice cream because she has to hit a high c at the end of the song and dairy clogs your vocal cords. So I made a false bottom only an inch from the top and filled it with frozen whip cream instead. It worked!!
I sorted my list into three groups of priorities: things to do before morning run at 10, things to finish before Company Preview at 6, and things to finish before Senior Preview tomorrow night. I also think I'm gonna have to pull $50 from another show. Dead Man's Cell Phone is contemporary so that should be easier! Maybe I'll pull from that.
Thanks for the love and prayers. I'll need extra these next few days.
Glad you hung in with it! Brilliant on the ice cream! Good work on prioritizing your remaining list, too.
