So Lend Me a Tenor opened tonight and I went to watch the show without my cell cause I didn't want to be rude. I go to my desk at intermission and the SM of All Shook Up stares me down for not having my phone with me... Apparently the suitcase opened before the scene and she was calling cues during a song and trying to get hold of me. They worked it out but I felt so bad so I took my phone with me into the next act and it's a good thing!! I got a call about ten minutes in from the SM again telling me the breaks on the fairground "float" weren't working. I spent the rest of the act trying to fix it before it had to be used again. The breaks are jammed somehow and WD40 isn't helping. I'll have to install new ones tomorrow which may mean buying some. Good thing I came in under budget!
Things I learned from this show: faking it is sometimes just as good as the real thing. Some people just don't show excitement. Thobias likes to feel like his idea had been heard and seen and then he's willing to compromise.
Tomorrow is the designer run for She Loves Me. Ahhhh!!! Luckily, this is the craziest part of the summer. It should all be downhill from here!
