I hate those moments when you think you'll miss out in something so you go hang out with people, but then it ends up not being entirely how you thought it would and you sorta wished you left with the early car or didn't come at all.
Anyway... Opening for All Shook Up was great. Second night was okay, mostly cause everyone was suffering from drinking the night before. I can't believe I'm in tech for another show on Monday!! Today was designer run so I got a good idea of where I'm at. I have a lot of work tomorrow!! So much for taking Sunday's off =\
Apparently I'm really good at my job cause the director told the whole cast that I'm the best props designer he's ever worked with! He's gonna try to get me a job at Papermill Theater for next summer. I don't understand why I'm so different, i'm just doing my job! I had a great talk with him and the next director about grad school and what kind of questions to ask in order to cut down my list and find the program that's right for me. He said if I wanted to, I could take acting notes during the run and talk then over with him after rehearsals!!
Things I learned from All Shook Up;
~ you don't need to spend money to. make great props
~ communication between all departments at all times is KEY
~ sometimes, "missing out" on things is good for you
And so it's been decided, I will only go out with actors after opening night
